Join us at North Beach in Dewey Beach, Delaware 19971, as we host the finish line for the "Bike to the Beach" ride for autism. Volunteers are needed to support riders, provide refreshments, and help with setup and cleanup. Shifts are available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
We are hosting the finish line for the 120-mile "Bike to the Beach" ride for autism, which is an event stretching from Washington DC to Dewey Beach, Delaware. The finish line will be located at North Beach, 125 McKinley Avenue, Dewey Beach, Delaware 19971. There are various shifts available for volunteers from 8 am to 6 pm. Volunteers will be responsible for setting up and cleaning up, as well as encouraging, supporting, and taking care of the riders as they finish. Additionally, volunteers will provide snacks and drinks to riders, set up finish line tables, and distribute "Bike to the Beach" swag and gifts to riders.
AGE RESTRICTION: This is a great opportunity for children aged 10 and above to participate. A parent or guardian must accompany children aged 10-16, and if they arrive without one, their parent or guardian will be contacted. Volunteers aged 17 and above can participate independently without the presence of a parent or guardian.
Shift 1: 8 am-2 pm
Shift 2: 10 am- 4 pm
Shift 3: 12 noon - 6 pm
We encourage you to sign up for any shift, even if you can't stay for the entire time. Upon arrival, simply inform the site lead so our team can accommodate your schedule.
** To get to the site, type “North Beach, 125 McKinley Avenue, Dewey Beach, Delaware 19971” into your GPS. This will take you to the main North Beach area. Find a member of our team at the open field and let them know you are there to volunteer for the So What Else Bike to Beach ride.

Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours.
