Montgomery Goes Purple
Volunteers needed to help resource fair vendors unload and set up, volunteer at resource tables, serve as navigators, assist with portions of the program (such as handing out programs and battery operated candles), and help with clean up. We welcome 6th-8th grade students to volunteer with their parent/guardian; 9th-12th grade students may volunteer unaccompanied.
4:00 Resources table set up begins
5:00 Resource Fair, Food Trucks, and C.O.P.E. Trailer opens.
6:00 National Recovery Month Kickoff begins.
7:30 International Overdose Awareness Day Remembrance and Vigil begins
8:30 Event clean up.
This event is open to the public and participants are encouraged to wear purple. Middle school student volunteers are welcome with parental supervision. See the flier here.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
