(Sep 27, 2:00-4:00pm) Help us collect acorns at Locust Grove Nature Center. Seeds will go to MD state tree nursery to grow our future trees!
Calling all tree friends! Join Tomorrow’s Trees and Potomac Conservancy on this early release day for Montgomery County Schools for a fun, 50-person acorn collection at Locust Grove Nature Center. Make a huge difference for the Potomac River as we work towards a healthier and more resilient river! This is an excellent way for adults and children alike to learn a quick easy action that is great for the health of our local streams!
Seeds collected will go to Maryland’s state nursery that grows trees for reforesting efforts across the region. (*SSL hours available) We’ll provide all the event supplies.
Once registered, please expect a reminder email on the Thursday before the event with more information regarding what to expect and our volunteer release waiver. You are responsible for making sure your guest(s) get that reminder email. We can’t wait to see you!
