Overview: As a Job Fair Setup Volunteer, you will play a key role in the preparation and organization of the job fair event. Your responsibilities will include arranging the venue, setting up step and repeat backdrop, company representative area, and meals/snacks/beverages, and ensuring that all materials and equipment are in place to create a successful and smooth-running event.
Key Responsibilities:
- Venue Preparation: Assist in setting up the event space, including arranging tables, chairs, tablecloths, company representative area, step and repeat backdrop, and snacks/beverage areas according to the layout plan.
- Materials: Help set up necessary signage and promotional materials.
- Table Setup: Ensure that employer tables are set up correctly and that any required materials or supplies are provided.
- Signage and Decor: Place directional and informational signage to guide students/clients and employers throughout the fair space.
- Registration Desk: Set up and manage the check-in areas for students/clients and employers, including organizing name tags, check-in forms, and informational packets.
- Logistics Support: Assist with any last-minute adjustments or needs that arise during the setup process.
Qualifications:
- Organization Skills: Ability to follow detailed instructions and organize materials efficiently.
- Physical Stamina: Capable of lifting and moving materials and setting up equipment.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with other volunteers and event staff.
- Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication to coordinate tasks and report any issues.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure that the setup meets the event's requirements.
Training and Support:
- On-site orientation and instructions will be provided before the event to familiarize you with the setup procedures and responsibilities
- Ongoing support and guidance will be available from the volunteer coordinator and other committee members.
