Who We Are

“The Lord’s Table” is supported by approximately 250 volunteers from local churches, synagogues, schools, community service organizations and civic groups. We operate entirely on food and financial donations, and are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. We work with both public and private groups, and coordinate with other nonprofit organizations to coordinate resources, to educate, and to promote efforts and services for the benefit of the hungry, homeless, and other underprivileged members of our community.

Operating as “The Lord’s Table” Soup Kitchen, our charitable organization prepares and serves free meals at 3:30 p.m. daily, October-April, Monday thru Friday, at Epworth UMC, 9008 Rosemont Drive in Gaithersburg, MD. We also offer outreach services focused on the personal, health, nourishment, and housing needs of our homeless and underprivileged guests.
