Cabin John Chicken and Crab Feast

The C.J Chicken and Crab Feast is our community's major fundraising effort. The money raised at this event allows us to cosponsor a Cabin John Creek Cleanup, a Spring Egg Hunt for young children in the community, a community holiday party/fundraiser for S.O.M.E. and much more. Volunteers for the Crab Feast help with food preparation on Friday afternoon/evening, Sept 15. On Saturday, Sept 16 the day of the event there are many, many volunteer opportunities associated with setting up the event, manning stations during the event and helping with cleanup when the event is over. In addition this year high school aged Cabin John students will be organizing, publicizing, and running a bake sale during the event that will raise funds for Hurricane Harvey relief. The community association is looking for volunteers who can sign up for at least two hours of their time.
