MCPS students may earn SSL hours for participation. Each correspondence with a senior earns 15 minutes of community service, and we ask that students complete at least two correspondences. For every two correspondences submitted, students may earn 30 minutes. All correspondence goes through our organization, and student's confidentiality is ensured. We will review your correspondences and deliver them to isolated populations. Please only include your first name and do not reveal any personal information such as your email address or home address in your correspondences. Also, please do not include any real-life pictures or images of yourself.

Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety and privacy. The nonprofit organization will determine the number of SSL hours awarded based on the evidence submitted. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns. This service activity is designed to be completed within the safety of the student’s home until schools resume normal status.
