Explore the history of Sandy Spring Maryland by transcribing an original archival document, helping to make these fascinating and important artifacts searchable and accessible to all.
Steps to register:
- Create a free account at https://fromthepage.com/ssm-archives
- Wait for a reply, which will include a further registration link on Sandy Spring Museum's website. By filling out this information you will receive a Zoom meeting key and password.
- You do not have to stay for the entire session, participate for as long as you can!
Once you register, a guide on Sandy Spring’s transcription conventions as well as some other helpful information will be sent in an email as well. On the day of the transcribe-a-thon, a staff member will be available to answer questions and help you through the process. Any questions you have can be sent to rbogren@sandyspringmuseum.org
