Description

Small Things Matter's Kokua Foods Program helps address food insecurity in our community.

We are hosting an outdoor fundraiser on October 16 at the TPSS Coop (201 Ethan Allen, Takoma Park, MD 20912) to help support food insecure families in our community. The day will include live music, food, drinks, children's activities, and more.

We are looking for vaccinated teens to help us run some of the events that day.  Duties will include helping young kids craft, serving lemonade, making shave ice, and welcoming families at the event.

Middle school and high school students who are vaccinated are eligible to earn SSL hours by working onsite at our event. Community service hours are also available.

We will be implementing several health and safety precautions at this event.  Everyone will be required to wear masks when not eating, hand sanitizer will be available at several stations, and we will encourage social distancing (6 feet between people).
