On Earth Day in the Villages of Urbana, recycle my battery will be putting a booth for awareness and used battery collection. A student volunteer will be running a trivia (content will be provided), will check the answers, and provide the award for participating kids/parents. They will also collect the batteries if parents bring them, seal and put them in an appropriate box for collection. We also have sustainable goals that volunteers will explain to participants (content will be provided).
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
