It is an awareness campaign where people will be educated about the safe recycling of alkaline, rechargeable batteries. Volunteers will engage adults and kids via games, and trivia that will help them learn more about battery recycling. Students will also be going around with the battery literature and engaging other vendors/participants. We will also collect batteries if someone has brought them to the event for recycling
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
