We are hosting an event where parents drop off their children for an evening out. The event will last from 5:00pm- 8:30pm on Friday February 10, 2023. We are asking volunteers to be present at 4:30pm to go over the general location of materials for the children, confirm safety procedures, and get introduced to the other adults who will be facilitating.
We are looking for volunteers who enjoy playing with children. The children will range in age from 1-8 years old, and there will be approximately 15-20 children present during the event. This event takes place within the preschool- RPCNS, located in downtown Rockville. There will be food provided, a movie for the children to watch and many games and activities on site. Depending on the weather there is also a playground the kids can use.
We will have additional adult staff on site, including at least 1 teacher from the school and 2-4 additional parents of the children.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
