Aftercare Lego Volunteers | Beall ES
We are looking for volunteers to assist us in our Lego Innovation After School Classes for the 2023-2024 school year. DEILAB volunteers support Lead Instructors and each other in creating a safe, positive environment for learners to experiment with project ideas and team building.
You can expect to engage with children, present daily projects, and answer their questions to ensure that our programs run smoothly and that everyone is learning while having fun!
Our after school programs are weekly programs that last for roughly 8-10 weeks and classes last 50-90 mins in length.
This Current Opportunity is For:

Thursdays ONLY
3:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Volunteer Instructors Perform All Or Some Of The Following Tasks:

Arrive on time to help prepare the classroom for students.

Create a fun, engaging and immersive learning environment.

Demonstrating building techniques to class participants.
- Help Lead Instructors in cleaning and packing away class materials after student dismissal.

Encourage children to learn from building mistakes and develop a growth mindset about failure and innovation.

Supporting fellow teammates, providing class feedback and engaging in class conflict resolution between students.
- Commit to one day a week at the school of their choice to earn 2 SSL hours per day for 16-20 in total per season.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
