WD / MIDDLE SCHOOL NEW VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY for volunteers age 50+
ETA is excited to announce a new intergenerational project with 6th, 7th, and 8th graders! Our volunteers will work with the same young people each week for three months during their after-school enrichment program, guiding them in goal setting and career exploration. Our format includes 1:1 and small group coaching conversations, games and activities, and guest speakers. Topics will include: Building Cross-Age Rapport, Decision Making, Discovering Yourself, Discovering Different Career Fields, and Learning from Guest Speakers. Where: Argyle Middle School, 2400 Bel Pre Road. Silver Spring, MD 20906 When: Mondays 3:15-5:30 PM. 10 dates in fall 2024. (Sept 30; Oct 7, 14, 21, 28; Nov 11, 18; Dec 2, 9, 16.)
